Professional and Library Information

Tito Needs a Kidney: A Journey of Resilience, Community, and Hope is a firsthand memoir about kidney failure, dialysis, kidney transplantation, transplant loss, recovery, living donation, and the experience of rebuilding life around serious illness.

This page is intended for librarians, dialysis and transplant programs, educators, reviewers, journalists, kidney organizations, patient-resource programs, and others evaluating the book for a collection, resource list, review, course, or patient program.

Where the Book May Be Useful

The book complements clinical education by showing one patient's lived experience. It is not a clinical handbook and should not be represented as medical guidance.

Intended Audiences

Lived Experience, Not Medical Advice

Tito writes as a patient and author, not as a physician, clinician, transplant professional, or medical authority.

The book and this website share personal experience. They do not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or replace guidance from a patient's own healthcare team.
