This policy explains how Tito Needs a Kidney handles information collected through this website and through its internal, separately authorized campaign-mailbox reader.

Website information

The site may use privacy-conscious website analytics to understand aggregate site use. We do not sell personal information or use site analytics to build advertising audiences from individual visitors.

If you choose to contact us or submit a story, we use the information you provide to respond to you and, only where you have given permission, to consider it for publication.

Gmail reader

The Book Factory Gmail reader accesses only the Gmail accounts whose owners separately authorize it. It requests the Google Gmail gmail.readonly scope and is used for internal mailbox monitoring, reply review, and maintenance. It does not send email, create drafts, delete messages, or change labels.

Gmail data obtained through this reader is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties except as needed to operate the authorized internal workflow. Access can be revoked by the account owner through their Google Account permissions.

A separately authorized Gmail Action grant may use the Google gmail.compose scope to create unsent drafts. A draft is sent only after the account owner gives an exact approval in the internal review workflow; the system does not send unapproved drafts.

Security and retention

Access credentials are kept in protected local storage and are limited to the systems that need them. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, operational recordkeeping, or legal obligations.
